Alyssa is a Theatrix alumni from way back! She fondly remembers performing in Theatrix shows such as: Little Women, Rocky Horror Show, Grease, and Cinderella (waaay back when). She is a graduate of SFU's Contemporary Theatre program and is currently working in the film industry as well as local Vancouver theatre.

Aspiring A-list actors will learn what it takes with expert scene work and coaching by Troy and television producer, Chris Grindley Ferris, behind the camera.

Troy has done numerous spots in TV and film, gaining his following by appearing in commercials for The Cartoon Network as "The Stuff Squad" and a major national Honda campaign for the 2012 Olympics. He most recently appeared in the feature film "Geography Club" starring Nikki Blonksy (Hairspray) Cameron Dean Stuart (Pitch Perfect) and Justin Deeley (90210) and famed NBC pilot "Susan 313" produced by Ron Howard (Apollo 13) and staring female comedian Sarah Silverman (The School of Rock).

Song writing, singing, and music creation through improvisation. 12 participants starting at 12 years old. Had a song in your head? Your heart? Your hands? Join Peter Abando, a past Theatrix musical director, composer, and accompanist; and get those ideas out. Bring song ideas to life, or generate new ones through improvisation and collaboration. What do you need? A voice, and open mind, a willingness to try, a pencil and paper (if you use those...) and any instrument you want to bring with you!

This workshop is geared towards Lunchbox Theatre students ages 7-11 who want to take their performance to the next level. Kids will enhance their performing skills as we prepare a musical number from Matilda to present at the afternoon Showcase. Registration guarantees your acceptance but parts will be assigned beforehand, at an audition and meet and greet to be announced. Theatrix Summer Camps are designed to introduce basic performing arts skills to children aged 7 to 16.  

Camp includes:

Musical Theatre - Through games, crafts and by working together, kids learn movement, voice, dance and how to make big acting choices on stage.  The best part is being a member of the cast in a Bootcamp Production of ‘Schoolhouse Rock’.
