On Saturday, June 1st enjoy the talented performances of both the Junior and Senior Production students in a double feature performance of Giants in the Sky and Puck: The Pandemonium Tour

Follow a curious young Giant down the beanstalk as she dares to explore the world her Elders left behind long ago in our Junior Production students’ performance of Giants in the Sky. Written by Denver Casado and Kerry Kazmierowicztrimm this show explores themes of friendship and is performed by students age 7 – 12 to some very catchy music you’re sure to get stuck in your head!

Then chaos ensues as our Senior students present Puck: The Pandemonium Tour, an original musical that’s part Shakespearean comedy and part rock concert. This hilarious take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream is set in modern times as if Puck is performing a one-man show he wrote about his own life. All the actors play the shapeshifting Puck, and Puck plays all the characters in his stories.

OPAS!
Theatrix’s Online Performing Arts Studio!

OPAS – Our Online Performing Arts Program, was created out of the need for virtual arts programming caused by the pandemic in 2020. During the height of the pandemic, it included weekly virtual performing arts classes, webinar classes, and additional resources like downloadable plays, and Behind the Curtain, a professional mentoring interview series. Everything was made available temporarily on a pay-what-you-can pricing system.

In 2022, we are no longer seeing the need for the weekly virtual classes but everything else continues to be available. OPAS continues to offer webinars on a pay-what-you-can pricing system, free and low-cost scripts for plays and musicals, free acting scenes and study guides, and our Behind the Curtain series.

For programs that returned to in-person learning View our Covid19 Safety Plan Here

OPAS also includes free resources that both educate and entertain. You can find scenes from our original plays for you to use at home, as well as full scripts, and games. And in our video series, Behind the Curtain, kids can watch inspiring interviews with professional performing artists as they tell us how they got to where they are today – and how you can do it too!
