General Information for casts from both shows:
Communication from the director will involve hard copy, website calendar and email.
Rehearsal Locations: Dogwood Pavilion, Poirier Recreation Centre, Trinity United Church, Eagleridge United Church, Pinetree Secondary (Jekyll and Hyde ONLY)
CD’s, scores, scripts and rehearsals schedules will be issued once the play is cast and fees are paid.
Participants should come to rehearsals in comfortable clothes with water and a snack.
There are no rehearsals on statutory holidays.
Productions will involve extra rehearsals prior to showtime. Only audition if a full commitment can be made. The rehearsal period is too short to accommodate extended absences. Understudies will be cast for leading roles and those whose commitment is lacking.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
Productions are usually a week in length, beginning with an installation day, Technical Rehearsal Day (incorporates lights, sound, sets, props, costumes), Dress Rehearsals Day, and then the run, which will involve at least one or more matinees.
VOLUNTEER FEE
Volunteer Deposit is $100 or 30 hours of volunteer time
All parents are required to meet 30 hours of volunteer time prior or during the show.

Cheque will be shredded upon completion of volunteer time.
Script & CD FEE
$25.00
Covers the costs of the script & music of the production cut to CD for rehearsal requirements.
Can be added to full credit card amount or the first post-dated cheque.
Production FEE
$50.00
Covers the cost of costumes, sets, props and video projection.
Can be added to full credit card amount or the first post-dated cheque.
Each participant will be required to provide a base costume; usually basic black/white/flesh leotards and tights with appropriate dance/or shoes as deemed appropriate.
SUBSIDY POLICY
Everyone is welcome at Theatrix. The subsidy policy of 'pay what you can afford closest to the program fee' is intended for single parents on income assistance or very low income families. Siblings may qualify as well. We encourage every family who cannot pay the fee in full to contribute what they can and/or find a sponsor.
Sponsorship packages are provided to parents to assist them in their fundraising.
DUE TO THE EXPENSIVE PRODUCTION COSTS, SUBSIDIES WILL ONLY BE GRANTED TO ACTORS WHOSE PARENTS CAN DEMONSTRATE FINANCIAL NEED IN WRITING PRIOR TO CASTING.

TWO Premiere Dance Summer Camps
Instructed by
Alexandra Cox: Choreographer, Teacher, Dancer
Alexandra currently resides in Toronto where she is working on her BFA in Theatre Performance Dance at Ryerson University. She has won many awards for both her dancing and choreography. Alexandra is head of the acrobatics, musical theatre and recreational dance classes at Studio 22. As well as studying dance, Alexandra sings under the direction of John Rigzin Tute. She has been a choreographer for Theatrix Youtheatre Society for 7 years, working on productions such as Wizard of Oz, Grease, Aladdin, Seussical, Cats and High School Musical. Alexandra has also choreographed for Maple Creek Middle School, Treehouse Theatre, Eagle Ridge United Church, Port Moody School of Dance, Ryerson Rhythm Dance Pack and Googol Learning.
DANCE CAMP 1 • Energetic Half Day Dance Camp and Showcase
July 14th- 18th 2008
Ages: 4- 10
This is a half day camp to introduce children to energizing movement. The classes are designed to give dancers more flexibility, energy, confidence and knowledge regarding dance and choreography. There is also an improvisation class for dancers to create their own pieces. Most classes will involve learning a combination for the Friday showcase.

DANCE CAMP 2 • Stylized Dance Intensive for Experienced Dancers

This is an intensive for dancers to learn more about stylized choreography and dance careers. There are classes for technique improvement including conditioning for dancers, as well as tricks across the floor. Most classes will involve learning a combination for the Friday showcase.
